This information is only applicable to public app developers who intend on publishing their apps in the Clio App Directory.
Step 1: Build a public app
Apply for a developer account by filling out the developer account application form. Follow the step-by-step guide to set up your developer environment once your account has been approved.
Follow our Security and Data guidelines when building your application to ensure you're keeping security top of mind, and to understand Clio's security and compliance requirements for integrators. Our security and compliance questionnaire (Step 2, below) is based on the same guidelines.
Step 2: Complete the security and compliance review
Once your integration is ready to go, email api.partnerships@clio.com with a request for a security questionnaire. Once you've filled out the questionnaire, our Application Security and Compliance Team will review your submission and either approve or provide actionable feedback on areas of improvement. We aim to review within 2 business days.
Step 3: Demo your integration with us
After our Application Security Team has approved your app, we will reach out with a link to book a live demo with us. This is an opportunity to tell us about your company, your customers, the problem you're solving, and show us how the integration works.
Step 4: Launch in the Clio App Directory
After your successful demo, we will provide you with a form to complete for building the listing in the App Directory. We will then create the listing and share it with you to review and post publicly.
